Tequila Sheila and friends

Friday was rather uneventful at work. Except for Portuguese Petal texting me in a state about her sister who's (now ex) boyfriend broke up with her via email.

Hails to the rescue - after work I go over to talk to PP Junior about this whole palaver. Turns out the bugger (who happens to be one of our best highschool friend's lil brother) had been thinking about it for a while. I was called in due to the amount of experience I've had with men compared to 'I have been with the same guy since Matric & we're engaged' PP.

I read the email, after which I concur that its pretty much a case of being 21 with single friends AND growing out of (puppy)love. Please, what are the chances that every highschool romance will blossom into the saccharine love affair her sister and soon tobe brother-in-law have? 1 in 1000?

I tell her the best revenge is looking absolutely phenomenal, taking care of yourself and looking your best at every opportunity. Its true - I have countless accounts of this theory in action as proof.

These things happen. People move on.
Though devastated, little PP heeds my advice and we make plans to have a tequila together later as we'll both be at News Cafe.

Prior to News Bokkie and I think that Mazzles, who works for M·A·C, should do do Make-up 'just for fun'. Time flies and we both leave there looking like rockstars with lower bank balances .

I'll be honest with you, I really dont like that particular News Cafe. There's always some gey knocking your drink over and wanting to moer someone. I'm just over it. Especially on a Friday.

Bokkie finally got to wear the Guess Kaftan she'd forked out a hundred ZAR for and looked stunning - the 'girls' seemed to enjoy the opportunity to be out and about.

Nice turnout for Bokkie's bday. Bokkie got pretty tanked (someone gives her Stroh Rum - HELLO?!) eventually we make our way to Manhandle it with Vig as our driver. (Vig knows he's a ledge, especially when he salsa's with me and lets me buy him a coke. ha ha)

Aaah, felt so good to dance the night away on the dancefloor. Tequila was consumed in relative amounts to how long we'd been there. I preferred not to waste time with long drinks and knocked the tequila's back instead.

The Tequila dance was danced. The shooter wheel was spun (a few times) and (Spring)Bokkies were consumed too.

Tiny was there - she made me do the sprinkler just so she could take a picture of me just for ish's and giggles I assume.

Why is there always those odd randoms that come up to us while we dance to attempt to make even more random convo? They were politely ignored (oxymoron?) and the hip-shaking, body-moving and chest-popping continued.

We tried to get bokkie to perform the (in)famous Debjer stage dive, with much coaxing from Debjer herself, but she was having none of it - and good on her (Again Boks, apologies for boosting you onto the stage and expecting you to do it - you are really a champion).

Made our way home just after 5am with a strategic stop for food at the 24 hour Woolies / Wimpy.

Stayed in my PJ's the entire day feeling like complete dog poo.

I was meant to attend another bday on Saturday eve but honestly couldn't muster the energy to bath, get dressed, move cars to get mine out and schlep to the Vale.

Sunday I went to gym to train for the looming triathlon and trained on my ace as everyone else overslept. Go figure. I also got to spend time with the M & M's as Maj and I looked after them for a few hours. Me-Bee and I watched Bewerwy Weels Chiwhoawow (Yes that means BEVERLEY HILLS CHIHUAHUA in 3-year old language) and we appropriately had an afternoon siesta post-dvd together. Bliss.

Monday was Monday and winter has definitely settled in - it was colder than a witch's boobie and continues to be that cold today. Grey's at least brightened my day, and made me bawl like an infant as it does every week.

This evening I'm gymming like a woman possessed. I have an amazing new training regime, compliments of a rad fitness mag. Do not laugh. I attempt to do this without catching pneumonia in the process.

Wish me luck.
